Femmes du monde à Côte-des-Neiges invites all women residing in the district to the 11th edition of National Day of Women’s Centres on Oct. 1 at 1:15 p.m.
Women will be introduced to the women’s centre and then invited to an activity where they will have a chance to share their vision for a better world and propose concrete actions that can help improve the quality of life for women in the community.
Their projects will be featured in a book to be released at the women’s national congress in June 2014.
The Oct. 1 event will also launch the events planned by Femmes du monde à Côte-des-Neiges for Women’s History Month:
– lunch with a speaker on the topic « Being a woman in Quebec » on Oct. 9 at 11:30 a.m.
– a workshop called “The underside of beauty” with the Réseau québécois d’action pour la santé des femmes on Oct. 23 at 1:15 p.m.
– a session led by the Centre de santé des femmes de Montréal on Oct. 30 at 1:15 p.m. on “Sexuality and me”
Femmes du monde à Côte-des-Neiges facilitates the exchange of information among women in order to help women break free from isolation and improve their living conditions. Women from all over the world are welcome, with no barriers because of age, civil status, origin, religion, race or sexual orientation.
